I'll admit it's not the goal. [but if it happens- he's, well, he's not sure he's against it. he's not awkward like he'd be before The Thing, but there's still that whole very-not-used to all this.
...he thinks he likes it, though. or, well. is getting used to liking it.
[ Harley shrieks again and, it's true, she can't lie. Mostly because she's laughing too hard to speak. When she can't take it anymore, she grabs his wrists and holds him at bay while she catches her breath. She's all flushed face and heaving bosom and definitely not sleepy anymore. She should ... probably put a shirt back on.
[there's a tiny bit of fighting her grip, but it doesn't last long; he was trying to relax her and now he's got her all riled up, shame on him. still, he's grinning as he looks down at her, though when his eyes glance down there's a bit of red in his cheek before he glances back up to her face. right.]
[......this is a trap, isn't it. Robert's smile falters slightly, but he keeps his gaze on her face. when he does break it, it's only to lie down next to her with an exhale]
It's not.
[he's not a hundred percent sure he'd be much for following up with it, though. even if there is a hint of visible interest from elsewhere
he'll settle for keeping his eyes on her. look who's not running away, even if he's not exactly running forwards? he's still got a bit of a smile, anyway- a real one, not forced.]
Maybe. [you're only good when you're hoping you can be bad. but he does give her an amused little look, and leans to give her a little peck on the forehead.
[Harley, Harley. he was trying very hard to forget about the chances of those, and up until this moment, was doing a very good job. the whole massage and cleaning and tickling and everything else did a wonderful job of grounding him until his grip on Harley briefly, briefly tightens.
there's a few moments in which he just looks at her, smile fading; there's something in his eyes, because he's not sure if he should try and shrug it off and insist he'll be fine, or damn his dignity because...well...
in the end he sighs and closes his eyes, resting his chin against her. it's probably a mark of how much he's grown to trust her that he doesn't try and put up a mask.
[ She runs her fingers over his hair. The nightmares would come without her saying it or not. She knows what Crane's toxins do to people. Frankly, she's amazed he didn't wake up screaming the first time. ]
[there's something to be said about being scared silent. screaming is inherently a call for help- but why would you scream when you know there's no help coming?
when you know you're alone?
he swallows around the lump in his throat, and forces himself to slow his breathing. if he's still holding Harley tight, well...at least it's not a painful grip.
[ She drifts in and out of a light doze, and when he shows signs of bad dreams she rouses and starts rubbing his back and cooing soft, gentle reassurances. ]

You say that like it's a bad thing.
[ She lies back down and stretches, and if that lifts her hips a little and if those hips happen to wiggle a little, so be it. ]
It's a compliment.

have a little side-tickle while he can, though.]

Probably.
Soon.
Eventually, definitely. ]

Where'd you toss your shirt?
no subject
[ He did say she could help herself to anything. ]
And I dunno. Or care. Why, don'tcha like the view?

[ She releases his wrists. ]
A problem.

...you're going to have an awful revenge, I can feel it.

[ She throws a leg over him and waggles her eyebrows. Heeeyyyy
... But that's all she does. Look at her! Being good! ]
no subject
she really is cute, he won't argue that.]

SHIT, HE'S ONTO HER.She returns that with a peck on the lips. ]
Get some sleep. I'll be here if you have a nightmare.

You're okay. You're safe now.
